Dr. Phil once talked to Oprah on her show about weight loss. Oprah asked "Aren't some people just genetically prone to being thin?" "Yeah," he said, "but the thing is--THAT AIN'T YOU!" Well, that ain't us either, and this is a team-written bloggy support group for people who are actually working to become (or stay) healthy. Let us know if you'd like to write for us and we'll send you an invitation!

Sorry for your unexpected weight, but do not get discouraged.
One day at a time.
Remember smaller portions and eliminate any sugar, try sugar free and lots of water, no soda, no white bread.
Start a journal of everything that goes in your mouth.
Make it happen.
Yes...it sucks! Yes...it is depressing! When I was over 280 I was sad. You know you can do this! Baby steps! Go for 5 lbs at a time...no more. I am thinking in August for our yearly employee check up that I want to join that lifechoice gym. You have your check up then too. We qualify for it costing us only a few dollars a month. Anmed pays a portion too. I want to check out the hours....I am thinking that I could meet you after work to go work out or even walk around the track. Baby steps! My energy is coming back now.
You need to eat....no skipping meals or having one meal a day.
Just think how exciting it will be when the pounds start coming off. Do it for yourself....no one else!
