Long time, No post

Here is an update. Obviously, I haven't written on here in a while. I figured since I'm not actively pursuing weight loss I didn't really want to post. But anyways..since this blog is about health, I can still give updates on my no-smoking pursuit. This Thursday totaled 7 weeks smoke free. Yippee! I do feel much better. I will probably be trying on the weight loss thing within the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately, everyone at home has been making little subliminal comments on my size, and the fact I like sweets. Just a little advice for anyone who is reading this. When something, such as food, goes missing, please don't automatically assume that the fat girl did it. Thanks

When shopping look for products that have splenda or 6 grams or less of sugar. There are some delicious products out there that are low in fat and low sugar. Once you begin this healthy habit and avoid anything with frustose, and high sugar, you will be amazed how easy it is to enjoy ice cream, cake, candy, cookies. Enjoy and you won't be adding on pounds. Of course everything in moderation, watch your portions.
Congratulations on the no smoking bad habit. Not only are you prolonging your life, you are saving money, put that cigarette money into a special savings or a jar and watch how it will grow. the amount that you would have spent either daily or weekly can create as nice nest egg for you to spend in pleasure,

We talked about this.....you know what you need to tell the family!! The more they push negatively...the more we pull back in the same routine....eating!

Oh Kelly...I'd be willing to bet the one blaming you is the one that did it! (using you as a scape goat along the way) That's not very nice of them...or helpful in any way.

Congrats on the 7 weeks smoke free!!! I have never smoked before but I do believe it's a really hard thing to quit.

I was thinking about you this weekend as we spent a lot of time sitting in a cloud of secondhand smoke. Jordan and I now have cold-like symptoms even though we don't have colds, and our throats feel like we'd been screaming even though we weren't. I was so glad to get back into some fresh air. Have you noticed you feel better since quitting? I can't imagine how much better someone's respiratory system would feel once unleashed from the smoke--even if it was only a little bit!

I feel much better now that I have quit. I know last year (around Fall) I stayed sick with bronchitis and sinus infections. Once around christmas I even developed pneumonia! I feel alot better and I am so glad I quit. I only smoked for a year and a half, but it was the worst time!
